You’ve fallen in love with learning modern calligraphy, but are tired of practicing just your drills. I get it. Keep practicing your drills and add these little doodles to the mix, specifically to concentrate on practicing your thick and thin strokes.

Once you practice, you’ll be able to:

… put them on a card

…add them to an envelope

…decorate your practice sheets.

…whatever you decide to do with them, have fun playing with these doodles!

The worksheet is designed for small brush pens and pointed pen.

If you ever tried to learn modern calligraphy you know brush pens and pointed pens are pressure-sensitive. The upstrokes are made with light pressure and the downstrokes are made with heavy pressure resulting in the beautiful strokes you see in calligraphy.

These calligraphy doodles were created during practice sessions as I sought to practice my thick and thin strokes with a pointed pen. I’ve used a small and large brush pen for 3 years, but always thought a pointed pen would be too difficult to learn. I was wrong!

Enjoy these calligraphy doodles.
